Trail Work Day - 9AM. Meet at the Iron Mountain Horse Camp on Arrowhead Road Ivanhoe, VA. We will car pool to the work site nearby and will be working on some areas of the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail improving drainage and repairing trail tread. For more information call Nancy Sluys 336-351-4753

Fall Camp Out and Monthly Meeting. The meeting will be held on Saturday evening at 7PM. Old Virginia Horse Camp. Camp sites are limited. Please pre-register with Diane Cherry- dcrmgs@centurylink.net. There is a $10 per night camping fee that must be paid in advance. The Old Virginia Horse Camp is a group camp in the western end of the Mt/ Rogers NRA. There is access to the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail and other trails in the Highlands. Please join us for a weekend of camping and riding and sharing of ideas about trail issues.
Directions to Old Virginia Group Horse Camp (Va), George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, VA:
Take exit 45 off I-81 at Marion ,Virginia. Take Rt.16 south for approximately 17 miles to VA 603 at Troutdale.
Turn right onto VA 603 and follow it for about 3 miles to the campground which will be on your right.
A site identification sign is on the gravel driveway.
